Adele Martelle talks about the whole body connection and emotional regulation for yourself and your child. 

Emotional Regulation

Adele Martelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified trauma professional specialist.

 

She has a Master’s in Social Work, with a specialization in mental health treatment, from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Southern Maine.

 

Adele has extensive history and the honor of working with unique populations to include trauma survivors, the incarcerated, the LGBTQ community, and couples healing from betrayal. She is a public speaker and writer on topics such as trauma, attachment, intimacy, and mindfulness.

Adele seeks to be creative in her practice and speaking engagements by sharing practical examples and tangible skills to utilize. She attempts to meet others where they are and journey with them as they recognize their own potential. Adele strongly believes an important part of her job is to help people heal and empower them to have healthy relationships with others, themselves, and the Divine. She is a brain science nerd and whole-person healing enthusiast. Adele and her family are activists for marginalized groups and volunteer often with a local non-profit organization. 

 

Adele currently sees clients at a local Hampton Roads group private practice. Additionally, she runs a private clinical consulting and training business.

Dr. Zaneta Hamlin, DDS discusses tongue ties and the effects on breastfeeding.

Dr. Zaneta Hamlin is a board-certified laser Dentist in Hampton roads who performs general and cosmetic dentistry.  

 

Dr. Hamlin completed her undergraduate education at Emory & Henry College, in Emory, Virginia. She was awarded her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University College of Dentistry.

 

Her desire to help families struggling with breastfeeding, feeding complications, airway issues, speech, and beyond started when she had her first tongue-tied daughter in 2015. 

 

In 2020 she became one of 6% of dentists in the United States and Canada to become a Fellow at the Academy of General Dentistry.

As a postpartum doula, Laurie Ann Finn is committed to the great calling; to mother the mother.  Her goal is to support moms in their motherhood journey by holding their hands and hearing their hearts, without passing judgment or insisting on set philosophies.  

Laurie Ann Finn has been a certified postpartum doula with Doulas of North America (DONA) since 2016; however, she has served new moms as a coach and mentors less formally for over 20 years. 


In 2015 Laurie Ann completed her M.A. in Organizational Leadership with a focus on coaching and mentoring from Regent University.

Kate discusses how to safely engage in postpartum exercise.

Kate Melville is a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach and a certified yoga instructor.  

 

Kate grew up playing sports and played Division 1 soccer and then played professionally.  She has been coaching in some format since she was 15 years old.  It wasn't until she had her first child that she realized what a huge difference a specialized coach could make during her postpartum period in regards to exercise. 

 

Kate offers one on one virtual or in-person consultations with an in-depth assessment and tools to start adding to training.  She also offers customized individual postpartum plans.

Dr. Tiffany Fernandez discusses the importance of pelvic balance during pregnancy and offers a couple of exercises you can try at home.
